Hey! We got featured in the Seattle Times!
Informatics is the study of the structure, algorithms, behavior, and interactions of natural and artificial computational systems.
Reviewers focus on the quality of evidence provided for thriving in the program rather than the quantity of characteristics discussed.
Students are evaluated on their ability to effectively convey ideas through writing, which is scored separately from other characteristics.
The highest score is awarded when there is outstanding evidence that the student will not only thrive but also enrich the program.
The rubric is directly provided from the University of Washington through a process known as the Freedom of Information Act.
